Where can I buy Plimsolls?

If you know of a shop where you can buy plimsolls let me know and I'll list it here. We are looking for shops that sell larger sizes and, hopefully, a wider range of styles.

I think there is a good shop close to Hammersmith in London, possibly in Fulham Palace Road but at any event close to the flyover. Does anyone know of it and have the details?

Clare can obtain traditional style plimsolls and supply them by post.
Black and white lace up to size 11.
Black slip on to size 11.
White slip-on to size ?

Not strictly Plimsolls, US womens Keds can be a good substitute and can be bought over the net and shipped by airmail. Available in white and all black (as against the more common black/white) in sizes up to US13.
As a guide a 13 or 13 wide is the same as a UK 11 - how do I know? I've got some!
Sart at Webbedfoot who operate a very good service, mine arrived in 5 days.

Where to buy plimsolls in Scotland:

Edinburgh has two excellent stockists:-

Aitken & Niven, George Street, Edinburgh.
This independent department store has an excellent sports department. Stocks white & black laceup plimsolls (old school style) in all sizes up to about men's 11 or 12. Price £4.50 per pair. They stock slipon black gussetplimsolls in sizes up to men's 7 but will order bigger sizes, £4.50 per pair. NEW in are white slip on plimsolls in all sizes though larger sizes have to be ordered, same price £4.50. They have a website on the net which can be found using a search engine and the shop offers a very professional service at a reasonable cost. They also stocks Dunlop Green Flash in all sizes at approx £16.99. A plimsoll fan's paradise!

Army & Navy Stores, Newington, Edinburgh.
Carries a large stock of black and white men's laceup plimsolls in all sizes costing £3.95 per pair. It supplies many pairs to martial arts clubs in Edinburgh and they sell like hot cakes. Slip ons are not carried in stock but may be ordered at the same price but . Black slipons are readily available but I don't know if they can get white. This shop offers a friendly service at a very good price.

Out of the cities:

T C Hamilton, 71 Friars Vennel Dumfries.
This small privately owned shop has a good stock of white and black laceups (£4.75) as well as Dunlop Greenflash in all sizes (£16.99). It also stocks black slipons in sizes up to about mens size 9 also priced at £4.75. If they don't have stock they will happily order and supply within a week or so. Excellent personal service.

D E Shoe Service, Dumfries, Annan, Castle Douglas & Newton Stewart.
This chain of shops carries a good stock of white laceup school plimsolls in all sizes up to adult size 9 - price £3.95. I don't know whether they have black laceups or slipons, might order them. Good shop for oxford whites at low cost.

Out of Scotland my favourite is Navy and Army in Colchester.
